Kitty Litter Cheesecake
(International Version of Recipe)

INGREDIENTS

1 small cat litter tray - must be new!
1 small litter scoop - must be new!
4 packets cheesecake mix (or equivalent amount of homemade cheesecake ingredients)
4 - 6 chocolate covered mini-rolls (or equivalent volume of chocolate fudge pieces)
Digestive biscuits (sweet crackers or plain cookies) - quantity will vary
A little melted butter

PREPARATION

Make cheesecake base as per packet instructions, but in quadruple quantity, and spread evenly into litter tray. Make cheesecake filling as per packet instructions, but in quadruple quantity, and spread over cheesecake base. Set aside fruit topping as this is not required in this recipe. Chill cheesecake until set.

Roughly crush sufficient digestive biscuits to cover the cheesecake to a depth of at least a quarter inch (half to 1 cm) and sprinkle this on top of cheesecake. It does not have to be spread evenly; in fact it is best if it is uneven.

If you use chocolate mini-rolls: warm 4 - 5 mini-rolls in microwave so that they can be moulded, break 2 of them in halves and reshape them all into cat 'droppings' (taper the ends). Roll a couple of these in the biscuit crumb and lay them on top, half bury the others to look like a used litter tray.

If you use fudge: warm the fudge pieces and mould them in the same way as above. Moulded choc-dipped marshmallow rolls will also make passable poopies.

Scuffle the biscuit crumb around to look like cat has been trying to bury the poopies. If you really want to gross out your guests, get some fondant icing and add worms to the poopies!

Roughly crush two digestive biscuits and mix with enough melted butter to bind. Using a pastry cutter shape these into flat 'pats' and chill to set. Bed these into the biscuit crumb topping to look like clumped portions of litter. A little yellow food colouring adds to the effect.

Chill whole cake and decorate with litter scoop before serving.

If you wish, buy some ready-made cake icing decorations in the blue color (the sort you normally press onto damp icing to decorate it). Roughly crush these and mix into the biscuit crumb to look like deodoriser crystals.
